Volcanism studies at La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park
Educational activities are based around guided
fieldwork in and around the volcanoes
and visits to the protected area, using materials
that have been specially designed for this
type of activity.
Walks up and into craters, inside volcanoes,
across lava flows and to the base of basaltic
cliffs are combined with visits to the local volcano
museum and natural park facilities.

this protected area on the local peoples’ lives
and the impact they have on the Natural Park
and its work.
Olympic Stadium & Museum
With a guided tour, students will understand
what impact this stadium, with a capacity of
over 55,000 people, had on Barcelona during
the 1992 Summer Olympics and to the present
Birdwatching in Els Aiguamolls de L´Empordá
is a day´s birdwatching with an expert guide
in the Aiguamolls de L´Empordá, where over
300 species of bird have been recorded.
Montserrat’s Mountain guided visit
Situated 40 km Northwest of Barcelona,
Montserrat is easily accessible for a day excursion
either from Costa Brava or Barcelona.
It is one of the most impressive natural sights
of Spain with the rugged mountain of Montserrat
and a 9th century Benedictine monastery.
Boat trip - Medes Islands in l’Estartit
