Transfer conditions to and from Girona airport

THE SERVICE: What's the difference between Shuttle and Private transfer?

Shuttle Transfer:

This service offers a transfer with one or more stops on the way for the passengers. You also may have to wait for other passengers arrival, maximum of 1 hour.

The shuttle route when leaving Girona Airport is:

Girona Airport - Lloret de Mar - Tossa de Mar - Blanes - Malgrat - Santa Susanna - Pineda de Mar - Calella de la Costa

The suttle route when going to Girona Airport is:

Normally the journey takes between 30-45 minutes from Girona Airport to Lloret, which if the most usual route since most of the hotels at the southerns part of the Costa Brava are situated in Lloret de Mar. In summer time, the duration of the journey may increase considerebly because of heavy traffic.

Private Transfer

By selecting this type of transportation, you contract a direct transfer between the airport and your accomodation for your party only. As soon as you have met your driver, you depart for your destination: No waiting for other parties and no additional stops.

DROP OFF / PICK UP PLACE: How close to the accommodation is?

We transport you directly to and from your chosen accommodation, or as near as the vehicle can get. Occasionally, if its not possible for access reasons, you will be dropped and collected at the nearest possible place.

THE LUGGAGE: What is the baggage policy for transfers?

Each passenger is allowed one normal sized piece of baggage with a maximum weight of twenty kilos (20kg) and one piece of hand baggage up to five kilos (5kg). There is no extra charge for extra baggage but please, if you have extra luggage, indicate it as a “comment” when you fill in the booking formulaire. Also if you have a wheel chair, it is important for us to know in order to come with an adapted bus.

THE BOOKING: When is better to book a transfer?

Booking confirmed minimum 3 days prior to arrival are always guaranteed. It is highly recommended to book as early as possible. Your reservation is confirmed immediately after payment has been made. On completing your booking you will automatically receive a screen voucher you can print and also an e-mail receipt.

Is it possible to book less than 3 days before departure?

The system does not allow bookings online less than 72 hours (working days) before the transfer. You can always check the possibility by sending an e-mail to: transfers@traveltec.info. In that case, we will do the booking for you and send you the voucher by mail.

BOOKING CHANGES: Can I do some changes when my transfer is confirmed?

Once your booking is done, you can modify details of your reservation (date and time of transfer or destination) sending an e-mail to transfers@traveltec.info. Three working days defore your transfer, all changes are possible. After that delay, we will check the possibility to do the changes you want and confirm it by mail. The changes of a reservation are not invoiced.

TRANSFER CANCELLATION: Can I cancel my transfer once it is paid?

If you cancel your transfer more than 3 days before your departure, you’ll be refund the total amount less 5€ per person for the administration and bank costs. After that delay, cancellations will not be refund, but you receive a voucher for a further transfer valid one year.

PAIEMENT: Is it safe to use my credit card?

Using your credit card to make purchases via our web site is a secure way to pay for your bookings as it is operated directly on our bank system. Both Master card or Visa card are protected twice when you shop online – firstly with a personal message, and secondly with your own secret password.

ARRIVAL AT AIRPORT: How will we find our driver?

SHUTTLE SERVICE: A guide, dressed up with an orange flashy t-shirt is waiting for the passengers at the arrival area in the airport, with a sign indicating whether your name or TRAVELTEC, depending on the number of travellers arriving. The guide will ask your name and check it on the reservation list; after that he/she will indicate you where the bus is waiting. In case you don’t see the guide anywhere near the exit, please go to the office in the airport (small red star) where you will be given the necessary information for the transfer. This office in the airport is opened every day from 8.00am to 23.00pm. Tel. (00 34) 972 / 47 40 30

PRIVATE SERVICE: Your driver is waiting for you at the airport arrival area showing a sign with your name on it.

How long will the driver wait for us?

The driver will normally wait up to 60 minutes after your flight has landed before making enquiries with the airline, customs or immigration. After this procedure and if there is no sign of the passenger, the driver will leave the airport. If you are delayed more than 1 hour in customs, immigration, baggage collection or lost luggage please call our offices to ensure that your driver will wait. Tel. nb.: (00 34) 972 / 36 31 11

ARRIVAL DELAY: If our arrival is delayed, will the transfer be waiting for us?

Small delays of maximum 1h. do not need to be notified, es the driver is waiting for you.

More than 1 hour delay: As soon as you are aware of a major delay, call us on the telephone supplied on your voicher.

Private service: If you have more than one hour delay, please contact us immediatelly to re-schedule your pick-up. Contact telephone: (00 34) 972 36 31 11 (only for private transfer) during working hours only.

Shuttle service: If you have more than one hour delay, please contact us immediately to re-schedule your pick-up. Contact telephone: (00 34) 972 47 40 30 (only for shuttle service). It is not always possible to re-schedule your shuttle transfer. We, of couse, will try our best to help you.

Important:
Please note that if there is a last minute change in timing of the flight or a delay which has not previously been advised to us, we cannot refund the cost of the lost transfer service and you will be required to make your own arrangements at arrival at resort.

DEPARTURE: What time is the pick up when leaving the accomodation to go to the airport?

Shuttle transfer: The pick-up time can vary between 3 to 5 hours prior your flight. You receive a fax at your accomodation 2 days before departure to confirm the pick-up time. Please check at the reception. Shouldn't you receive the fax confirmation, please call us at (00 34) 972 36 31 11 (working hours).

Private transfer: The taxi picks you up at your accomodation 2 hours 30 minutes prior to flight take off. This is confirmed by your driver when arriving of by fax at your hotel.
